Updated: Mar 14, 2022
From strip lashes, individual clusters to lash glues and applicators, the world of false eyelashes can be super intimidating.
Let us take you through everything you need to know.
Strip lashes are the most popular and common type of false lashes available online easily. It is a horizontal band onto which false lashes have already been applied and the band is then placed across your entire lash line.
Strip lashes are available in a variety of different styles, lengths, and thicknesses.
Hair & Makeup artist Poonam Lalwani recommends going for the most natural-looking band if you are a beginner to the world of lashes. Once you have chosen your style of lashes, pay attention to the band. Some lashes have a nude or transparent band whereas some lashes have a black band.
Mostly the strip lashes you’ve purchased are not going to perfectly match the shape and size of your eyes so the very first thing you need to do is trim them down from the sides.
Apply the lash glue on the entire band without overdoing it and hold It for 30 seconds till the glue dries a little. Now look down the mirror and place the middle of the band onto your lashes and then just adjust the left and right side. Use any brush or the lash applicator to press through for a stronghold.
Choosing An Eyelash Glue
Eyelash glues will usually either be clear or transparent or will have a deep black finish. Clear adhesives are most common and non-messy. Hair & Makeup Artist Poonam Lalwani recommends the House of Lashes glue or then the Huda Beauty Lash Glue.
Removing False Eyelashes
Use a cotton bud, dip it into an oil-based makeup remover and dab it on the lash band. The false lashes will then gently slide off.
